Project Overview
This 100+ page book is dedicated to shedding light on the hidden perspectives and stories of parents as they transition to being "empty nesters" as their last child leaves the house to enter adulthood on their own. Many times people hear the stories of the kids leaving for work or college, but what about the parents learning to be themselves again, and not just "mom" or "dad"? This was visualized through a layered typographic format, comparing real bird facts from field guides to compiled stories from real parents.
